Carolyn Lowe of Henmans' clinical negligence department has this week settled a claim against Milton Keynes Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for a 66 year old lady from Buckinghamshire.
She suffered a delay in treatment of septic arthritis in her shoulder and even once the diagnosis was made the treatment was negligent. This has resulted in permanent damage and disability. The Trust agreed that a sum of £200,000 would be paid in compensation, to assist her with coping with her disability in the future.
The Chief Executive of the Trust has provided a written apology to the lady for the lack of care which was provided to her.
