Stuart specialises in agricultural and rural work. This includes all aspects of farming and rural commercial property work, acquisitions and disposals including equestrian establishments, the restructuring of rural businesses, partnerships and financial rearrangements. He advises on the diversification of agriculture work, including extensive work in option agreements, planning agreements, wills, trusts and tax planning.
Stuart trained at Beachcrofts and qualified in 1967. He joined Pryce & Co, where he became a partner in 1970, before joining Henmans in 2007. He is a notary public.
The Chambers & Partners directory ranks Stuart in its top tier for agricultural and rural affairs in the region. Stuart is a member of the Country Landowners Association, the Agricultural Law Association, the National Farmers' Union and the Notaries Society.
