Susan specialises in clinical negligence claims. She handles a wide variety of cases, specialising in fatal claims, claims against GPs, breach of confidentiality in context of patient care, orthopaedic and birth injury cases, including Erb’s palsy. She has particular expertise in claims involving several defendants and cases where calculating the value of the claim is particularly complicated. She also specialises in advising in cases of delayed diagnosis of cancer.

Recent cases include:

Susan trained at Henmans and qualified in 2000.  She is accredited as a senior litigator by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and is a member of the the Law Society's clinical negligence panel and AvMA specialist panel. Susan is a member of the Oxford Medico-Legal Society and also undertakes regular pro bono work at Oxford Citizens' Advice Bureau. She is also involved with Cruse bereavement care.

Susan contributed the chapter 'Costs and Cash Flow' in Clinical Negligence: a practitioner's handbook by Cecily Cameron and Elizabeth-Anne Gumbel QC  of 1 Crown Office Row, published in 2007 by Oxford University Press.
