- accountants
- architects
- auditors
- brokers
- engineers
- financial advisors
- quantity surveyors
- project managers
- solicitors
- surveyors
- other professions, eg IT, direct marketers, alternative therapists
We have considerable expertise in advising insurers on insurance coverage issues such as applicable policy, scope of cover, aggregation, successor practices and dishonesty.
In addition we have a specialist team that handles disputes arising out of personal injury claims.
Our people
We field a total of 16 lawyers on professional indemnity matters and are able to draw upon the wider expertise of a full service law firm. We are proud of our track record of attracting a team of talented and experienced lawyers, a number of whom joined from leading London and regional practices, including Beachcroft, Dechert, Herbert Smith, K&L Gates and Weightmans.
Injury based claims, including claims against professionals arising out of medical malpractice, are handled by our specialist team in the firm’s personal injury department led by Mary Duncan.
Our approach
We make a point of handling claims proactively at a senior level, with closely supervised assistance from more junior solicitors where appropriate, while our collegiate approach gives you the benefit of our entire pool of knowledge. We are client focussed and user-friendly. We value mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. We have a lower cost base than many competitors and we ensure that these benefits are passed on to our clients.
Our location
Based within easy reach of London (1 hour by train) it is easy for us to attend client meetings, conferences and hearings there as required. We also have a facility which enables us to work from the Lloyds Building on a regular basis, in the heart of the City and close to key clients.
