Nigel Roots, partner and joint head of department, advises UK-based and international clients on tax and trust planning; landed estates; farming families; trust restructuring; complex estate administrations where he also acts as an independent administrator and judicial trustee; literary estates; heritage property and charity issues.

Jane Maitland, partner and joint head of department, advises on succession planning for farming and business clients; UK-based and international clients on Wills and tax planning; trusts and estate planning; complex estate administrations; literary estates and Court of Protection work.

Sarah Foster, partner, specialises in contentious trust and probate matters for private individuals, handling a wide range of disputes involving Wills (including undue influence and mental capacity claims); complex applications under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 and constructive trust and estoppel claims.

Paul Thompson, partner, specialises in capital tax planning, advising individuals and entrepreneurs on inheritance tax and capital gains tax matters; these include the administration of estates and the preparation of Wills and settlements.

Zandra Houston, consultant, has many years experience of acting as Deputy for clients who do not have a suitable family member to take on this role.  She has been asked to act as Deputy by the Court of Protection in a number of cases where families are in dispute and need a professional deputy who can ensure that the financial affairs of an incapacitated person are protected and managed in their best interests.

Veronica Cowdrey, associate, heads the team handling Wills and other matters for elderly clients. She advises parents on structuring their estates to provide for children with disabilities. She also specialises in day-to-day financial management for clients under a physical or mental disability, including those who have received damages awards. She handles enduring powers of attorney and Court of Protection applications including applying for statutory Wills and lifetime gifts.

Mark Drasdo, associate, advises on wills, powers of attorney and court of protection matters and deals with the administration of complex estates including those comprising an agricultural element. He also deals with charity issues.

Philippa Rumary, associate, advises on Wills, tax planning, trusts and the administration of complex estates. She also advises clients with farming interests and mixed UK/US estates and assets.

Esther Stirling, associate, specialises in contentious trust and probate matters for private individuals as well as commercial litigation matters.

Claire Bendle, associate, handles the administration of all types of estates and advises on wills and tax planning matters for clients. She also advises on the preparation of lasting powers of attorney.

Melissa Ewen, solicitor, advises on estate planning for non-resident and non-domiciled individuals, trusts, tax planning and the administration of complex estates.

Catherine Rolfe, solicitor, deals with the administration of both straightforward and complex estates. She also advises on Wills, trusts, Court of Protection and elderly client matters.

Geoff Randall, solicitor, specialises in Wills, inheritance tax planning and the administration of estates and trusts.

Lisa Mark-Bell, solicitor, deals with the administration of all types of taxable and non taxable estates including those with an agricultural, business or international element. She also advises on Wills, estate planning, lifetime settlements and Will trusts, lasting powers of attorney and tax planning for a wide range of clients.

Lisa trained at Pryce & Co, qualified in 2007 and joined Henmans in the same year. Lisa is a member of Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Jane Robinson, associate, fellow of the institute of paralegals, specialises in legacy administration work for charitable clients. She also deals with the administration of complex estates and trust funds.

Stephen Harvey, probate and trusts administrator, handles the administration of complex estates and trust funds including the preparation of tax returns and accounts as part of the trust and legacy administration team.

Tricia Grout, legal executive, works as an assistant to Jane Robinson as part of the charity legacy administration team.
