Mona advises on commercial disputes and professional indemnity claims. She also has experience in insolvency and IP related claims.
Her recent cases significant cases include:
- Successfully defending an appeal to the Information Tribunal in relation to a Freedom of Information Act request.
- Advising in relation to a major negligence claim based on the rule in Rylands v Fletcher which arose out of the foot and mouth crisis, and which was successfully resolved at the summary judgment stage.
- Two time sensitive insolvency issues, both of which were settled out of court.
- Defending solicitor in relation to an alleged failure to advise on restrictive covenants in a lease, settled at a significant discount.
Mona trained at Manches LLP and qualified into their litigation team in 2008. During her training contract Mona was able to gain experience as an in-house lawyer through a part-time secondment to a client. She joined the Dispute Resolution group at Henmans in spring 2009.
