An opportunity has arisen for a PI Panel member to joint the highly regarded personal injury team which is recognised by Chambers and the Legal 500. This post provides a rare opportunity to make a mark.
The successful candidate, who is unlikely to have less than 5 years PQE, may have specialist expertise within claimant PI but will have the opportunity to conduct cases of all types and will be able to demonstrate the ability to market and grow a claimant personal injury practice.
Our agricultural property team is amongst the best in the country. We are ranked in the top tier of both the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners directories. The Legal 500 describes us as “acting for more farmers and landowners than any other firm in the Thames Valley” and Chambers as a "widely respected practice acting for landed estates across England and Wales" which is "continuing to flourish". In an uncertain property market this is a superb opportunity to join an expanding team at an established firm with a recession-proof client base.
As part of our succession planning we are seeking to appoint a senior property lawyer. You will have a minimum of 4 years post qualification experience and be a member of a highly regarded property practice. You will be looking to join a firm with a clear route to partnership with secure sources of challenging work. Whilst agricultural property experience would be helpful it is not essential. You will be accustomed to dealing with clients at a senior level and have a track record of establishing and maintaining client relationships.
We wish to make a senior appointment as part of the continued development of our corporate & commercial department, to supplement the current team and to exploit the opportunities available. The busy department handles primarily corporate and commercial transactions, with a good flow of deals and being "trusted adviser" to its clients. Clients range across AIM companies, UK operations of multinational groups, SMEs and early stage entrepreneurial companies. There is a strong ethos of knowledge sharing in the Department and a great team spirit.
The role will have a strong business development aspect, adding to the initiatives already underway to raise the profile of the department and build the client portfolio with regional and national businesses and institutions. The successful highly motivated candidate is likely to have at least 6-8 years PQE and to relish the challenges of being involved in the marketing and development of the department.
The candidate would also be expected to have strong interpersonal skills, excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills, and be used to delivering a very high quality service. Knowledge of the local market and contacts would be beneficial. A client following would be advantageous for this role, which is likely to be a salaried partner appointment for the right candidate.
