Civil litigation

  • Defending solicitors in a substantial claim arising out of complex high value litigation which they had conducted against a leading City stockbroking house

Commercial property

  • Advising in connection with a claim arising from dealings involving prestigious central London properties valued in excess of £15m

Company/corporate

  • Defending a £5m+ claim involving allegations of fraudulent and negligent misrepresentation arising from a complex scheme for the exploitation of an entertainment system in taxi cabs

Insurance

  • Acting for three insurers and their insured on claims arising from a failed ATE insurance scheme.  The instruction followed on from our involvement in the well known TAG litigation

  • Dealing with numerous lender claims in connection with residential conveyancing transactions, many involving suspected mortgage fraud and several featuring alleged identity theft

Personal injury/Clinical negligence

  • Acting on a range of cases from acquired brain injury cases worth several million pounds down to a series of miners’ claims relating to alleged under settlement of vibration white finger claims

Trusts

  • Acting on a claim for over £3m arising out of the negligent drafting of a trust deed providing for the future needs of a child with cerebral palsy.  The case gave rise to complex inheritance tax issues and the need for rectification proceedings.
