Jane specialises in the administration of complex estates and trust funds, principally in respect of charitable clients. She also provides advice to charities who are appointed as executors, or who are beneficiaries of a will, in order to resolve problem estates. This often involves dealing with a range of issues including assisting charities with their queries on costs, the detailed review of estate accounts provided to charities (or endeavouring to obtain sufficient information from executors where accounts are incomplete or not provided at all), as well as providing advice on the varied legal and tax issues frequently arising in respect of gifts made to charities.
Jane worked for NatWest Financial Services for 11 years in their probate and trusts department, subsequently working for other Oxford law firms for a further eight years before joining Henmans in 2006. Jane is a Fellow of the Institute of Paralegals, an Associate Member of the Institute of Legacy Management and a student member of the Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners.
