Case summaries

We have acted for many claimants and achieved a range of awards from a few thousand up to £4 million, including the following:-

Road traffic accident. A front seat passenger of a vehicle who sustained severe and multiple injuries when an oncoming vehicle collided with the vehicle she was in. The injuries affected what the claimant is able to do by way of employment, and how much she was able to work. The claimant recovered a significant sum.

Road traffic accident.  The driver of a car who was injured when she was involved in a head on collision with a car driving on the wrong side of the road. The claimant's vehicle burst into flames shortly after the claimant was removed from her vehicle by a passerby. The claimant suffered a punctured lung, damaged ribs, fractured collarbone and sternum, cuts and bruises. She found the accident difficult to come to terms with psychologically and became extremely anxious about driving from then on. 

Accident at work. An employee who sustained significant head injuries, including a fractured skull when injured at work.

Sports and leisure claims. An employee who was injured when she fell from a climbing wall during a team building exercise organised by her employer.

Clinical negligence. Two children whose mother died as a result of delayed diagnosis of cancer.

Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA). Someone who received a severe head injury during the course of a criminal assault on her. A successful application to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority resulted in a substantial award.

Sports and leisure claims. An amateur footballer who received compensation for the broken leg he sustained in a foul and dangerous tackle during a local match.

Road traffic accident. A claimant whose chances of a career as an officer in the armed forces were ended as the result of a road accident.

Accident at work. An employee injured at work when some large, heavy automated warehouse doors closed without warning, crushing his arm and breaking it in three places. 

Accident at work. An employee who suffered exacerbation of asthma, and irritation of her skin through working with noxious substances without adequate protection.

Accident on holiday. A holidaymaker who was injured on a faulty drain cover in the grounds of his hotel in the Caribbean.
