Andrew has over 11 years commercial litigation and professional indemnity experience, handling a range of claims and related insurance disputes involving professionals.
His professional indemnity practice focuses on construction professionals (including surveyors, architects and engineers), solicitors, accountants and financial advisers, including tax professionals. He has specialist expertise in marine law.
Andrew's significant cases include:
- Dean v Allin & Watts (solicitor professional negligence claim relating to duty of care owed to 3rd parties - case referred to House of Lords).
- Representing a utility company in respect of two multi-million pound claims for fire damage.
- Representing an Indian publisher in a complex publishing dispute.
- Advising on policy coverage in respect of a substantial property fraud.
Andrew qualified in 1996 and was a partner at Coles Miller prior to joining Henmans in 2005. He was made a partner at Henmans in 2007.
Andrew is a CEDR accredited mediator and member of the Oxfordshire Mediation Group and a published writer on professional indemnity topics.
